Upon successful completion of this section of the course, you will
be able to:
- List and describe environmental factors that can affect the
health and well-being of laboratory animals and confound research
results
- Describe general principles in cage selection and identify the
appropriate cage(s) for selected species of animals
- Discuss the Animal Users' assistance with observing problems
with animals, and the required procedures to follow if a problem
is observed
- Describe general requirements for transporting animals and specific
requirements for transporting selected species of animals
